SPARE ROOM / 26 September to 23 October 2014
Body Talk is a dance video that parodies the TV Variety Show styles of the 1970s and 80s. The project explores how choreography, media and performance can be used to encourage or provoke feelings of remoteness and/or intimacy. Chilvers’ practice investigates the participatory nature of pop, drawing on the overlaps between music, film, television and contemporary performance art.
