Weng Io Wong's Encroachment looks at the relationship between human consciousness, technology and the digital age. Her work investigates the complex and interlacing relationship between self and virtual identity, specifically paying attention to the qualities of anonymity and repetition that manifest there.
Weng Io Wong (Yoyo) was born in Macau in 1993. In 2015, Yoyo has finished Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. She has participated in various group exhibitions in Macau, Melbourne and Beijing, including ‘Art Nova 100’ (2016), ‘AFA Autumn Salon’ (2015, 2016), ‘Exploration 15’ (2015) etc. Weng Io Wong lives and works in Macau.
